HGTV is adding a major expansion to its wildly popular “House Hunters” franchise. The network has ordered an additional 400 episodes of “House Hunters” and “House Hunters International,” continuing to air original programming through 2026.

“House Hunters” has been a staple on HGTV since its launch in October 1999, with more than 2,400 episodes already produced. The network says the series and “House Hunters International” draw more than 13 million prime-time viewers each month. According to HGTV, “The series offers a uniquely fun and interactive viewing experience for fans as they peek into three different homes to check out floor plans and furnishings, rate them, and choose what they think is the best fit for the new homeowner.”

“House Hunters” will be produced by Pie Town Productions and “House Hunters International” will be produced by Leopard USA. (HGTV technically says “nearly 400 episodes,” but they haven’t said how close to 400 that actually is. So 399! Or 394! Maybe 396?)

The “House Hunters” pickup was part of another big slate announced Wednesday by Howard Lee, chief creative officer of HGTV and Warner Bros. Discovery and US Networks. Other pickups include “Property Brothers: Under Pressure” (working title), “Botched Homes”, “Neighborhood Watch” (working title), and “World’s Bargain Dream Homes” (working title). All 50 episodes are picked up from the series.

“With this programming order, HGTV will deliver more of the proven format that improves the network’s consistent ratings, while featuring new talent and concepts that captivate our loyal fans and engage a diverse audience,” said Lee.

HGTV has ordered 14 episodes of “Property Brothers: Under Pressure” starring Drew and Jonathan Scott from its Scott Brothers Entertainment banner. According to the logline, on the show, the twin brothers “help prudent buyers grappling with commitment issues make informed and confident decisions about the biggest purchase of their lives. At a time when emotional and financial stakes are higher than ever, the Scott brothers guide customers through the ups and downs of the homebuying process, from fiercely competitive markets and sticker shock to personal wish lists and tough compromises, incorporating stunning, smart, and functional design.” Renovation solutions to make your dream home a reality. “

It was also announced that eight episodes of the one-hour “Botched Homes” have been ordered by Monument LLC to premiere in 2026. The show features “the most amazing, mind-bending renovations gone wrong” fixed by “New York City turned Florida contractor” Charlie Kawas. “Charlie will make it his mission to right the terrible wrongs of others.”

Arrow Media’s Neighborhood Watch will also be released in 2026, showing “raw, unfiltered, and sometimes shocking footage taken directly from surveillance cameras, smart doorbells, nanny cams, and baby monitors across America.” HGTV has ordered 16 half-hour episodes.

And HGTV has ordered 12 episodes of “World’s Bargain Dream Homes” from Twenty Twenty Television. The show promises to “follow brave people as they purchase some of the world’s most affordable properties, which happen to be stunningly beautiful, turnkey, located in desirable locations around the world, and many of which offer incredible cost-saving incentives.”

These shows join Fall 2025 programming including “My Lottery Dream Home,” “Hoarding for the Holidays,” “Fixer to Fabulous,” “Cheap A$$ Beach Houses,” “White House Christmas 2025” and “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending.” HGTV will also air new episodes of “100 Day Dream Home,” “Help! I Wrecked My House” and “Sin City Rehab” in November.
