Brittani Bateman is hitting back after Meredith Marks’ subtle attacks on her and her “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” co-star Whitney Rose.
Throughout the press cycle for the Bravo series, Marks referred to Bateman as “S-tani 2,” while calling Rose “S-tney 1,” a dubious nickname that clearly didn’t sit well with Bateman.
“I think it’s terrible and I don’t think it’s on her level,” Bateman exclusively told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea.” “She’s a smart woman. She doesn’t need to stoop so low.”
Tensions between Bateman and Marks have been simmering since Season 5, when the star accused a newcomer “friend” of secretly recording a heated argument between cast members during a group bus ride.
Bateman flatly denied intentionally filming the chaos, insisting it was all a misunderstanding.
Still, the scandal created a lasting rift between the two women. The rift continues to spill over into this season, as Marks’ penchant for vitriol and wordplay finds a new target in Bateman.
Bateman says she’s used to the drama that comes with being a part of “Housewives,” but prefers to keep things classy, which she attributes to her upbringing as a strict Mormon.
“I wasn’t even allowed to say, ‘Shut up,'” the singer says. “Yes, that’s how we were raised as Mormons. I love it, and that’s how I raised my kids. And I love it.”

Although his relationship with Marks remains frosty, Bateman is excited that his feud with Bronwyn Newport appears to be thawing. Despite previous friction, the women seem to be getting closer and closer both on and off camera.
“I’m really starting to appreciate Bronwyn,” Bateman enthuses. “She is smart, beautiful, knowledgeable, and kind.”
“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Tuesdays at 8pm ET on Bravo.
