All eyes were on Jenna Ortega on the red carpet at the 2025 Academy Museum Gala on Saturday night.
The 23-year-old actress opted for a two-piece ensemble designed by Grace Lin. It featured a brown satin maxi skirt and dark metallic breastplate.
The top of the sculpture was shaped like a leaf, and the stem snaked around the back of her neck and along her back. She dangled diagonally in the front, revealing some of her sideboob.
Ortega’s hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. Her beauty was further enhanced by smokey eyes, muted red lips, and bleached eyebrows. She accessorized with Tacori jewelry.
The bold style opened the designer’s Spring 2026 show in New York City last month, and Ortega wore the stunning set for the first time.
“You are a true genius,” Ortega’s stylist Enrique Melendez wrote, sharing Ortega’s head-turning look on Instagram. Lin replied, “Enrique, thank you so much for the magic!! She looks so lovely 🤩🤩🤩.”
Ortega’s latest look is reminiscent of her Givenchy top and skirt at the 2025 Emmy Awards, which featured a similar long black skirt and bejeweled top that left little to the imagination.
Melendez revealed on Jess Lucero’s Plus One Podcast that Givenchy’s top weighed between 20 and 30 pounds, leaving everyone wondering how much training Ortega got from last weekend’s sculptural work.
Ortega has always been a fan of method dressing, choosing red carpet looks that were representative of the films he was promoting.
Although she’s not currently in full-time promotional mode, she often opts for gothic glam inspired by “Wednesday.”
Season 2 of the “Addams Family” spinoff is now streaming in its entirety on Netflix.
