Actress Rebecca Ferguson has become a big name in Hollywood since appearing in the Mission: Impossible series alongside Tom Cruise. But her husband of five years, Rory St. Clair Gaynor, doesn’t have a career of note.
According to Extra TV, Ferguson began dating the businessman in 2016, but the details of their relationship are unclear. Exactly how they met remains unknown.
Ferguson previously dated Swedish businessman Ludwig Hallberg. They met in 2003 and started dating soon after. In 2007, Ferguson gave birth to a son, Isaac Hallberg. The former couple broke up in 2015.

Gaynor and Ferguson married in 2018.
In January 2019, Ferguson revealed that he and Gaynor had a private and intimate wedding in late 2018. Her 16-year-old son served as ring bearer.
“I think we both wanted to cross all the thresholds. And I’m not very religious. I believe in love,” she told Extra TV. “It was more about us and our family. We rented a cottage with friends and family, and we played games, snooker, table tennis, wearing Wellington boots and big woolly socks and big lumpy jumpers.”
“Perfect,” said extra Tanika Ray. “Were you wearing a wedding dress?”
“No!” Ferguson replied, seemingly taken aback by the question. “I wore a beautiful wedding skirt that I could shorten and add some pockets to. I’ll be using it in Greece in the summer.”
The actress emphasized that nothing changed in their marriage for her and Gaynor, but there was one small difference that they enjoyed.
“The fun part is we keep saying, ‘Hey, husband. Hey, ma’am.’ Yeah, it’s fun,” she joked.
However, she told Town & Country in 2023, “We live in a society where[marriage]is forced upon us.”
Gaynor and Ferguson have children together.
In an interview with Moviefone, Ferguson revealed that she was pregnant while filming Mission: Impossible: Fallout. In August 2017, co-star Tom Cruise broke his ankle on set, halting production and forcing director Ferguson to film while several months pregnant.
“I think I was five or six months pregnant when I ended my marriage,” she said. “That’s right. There was a big bump during filming.”
The star showed off her pregnant belly on the red carpet at the 2018 BAFTA Awards in February.
In July 2018, Ferguson’s rep confirmed to People that she and her husband welcomed a baby girl, Sage.
In an interview with Irish radio station U105 in March 2024, Ferguson shared a funny story about his daughter.
“So, today is Valentine’s Day, right?” she recalled. “My daughter was in the store with her husband…she walked up to the card and said, ‘This is perfect for mom.'” It was a picture of Timothée (Chalamet), who I assumed was her father because he looked like my husband, and it said, ‘Would you make my Willy a Wonka?’ ‘ was written. ”
“But she doesn’t understand. She’s like, ‘Oh, it’s Willy Wonka! That’s my Willy’s dad.’ And I’m like, ‘No,'” she added with a laugh.
Ferguson and Gaynor are often seen out together.
Although the couple prefers to keep the details of their relationship private, they have given the public a glimpse into their life.
Most recently, on February 26, 2024, Ferguson and Gaynor were photographed in New York City. They were dressed casually, with Ferguson wearing light-wash jeans, a matching denim jacket, and black loafers. Gaynor was wearing a black down jacket, black jeans, sneakers and a beanie hat. They both wore similarly styled tinted sunglasses.
A month later, she was seen with film producer and agent Charles Collier in London’s Primrose Hill, according to the Daily Mail. Ferguson wore a layered look with leggings and white boots on top.
Gaynor is a supportive husband.
In February 2024, Gaynor helped style his wife’s look for the New York premiere of Dune: Part 2. She told Harper’s Bazaar that she bought some accessories at a local pet supply store. To match her edgy sheer lace ensemble, Gaynor gifted her with a bunch of silver dog chains.
He also frequently attends Mr. Ferguson’s events. Although she chose to take the photo herself, she later posted a video of Gaynor holding an umbrella to protect herself from the sun on the red carpet at the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 world premiere.
They watched an F1 race in July 2025.
The couple enjoyed a rare outing in the UK at Silverstone’s Ferrari Garage for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix on July 6th.
They made a rare red carpet appearance in September 2025.
On September 2nd, the couple attended the premiere of “House of Dynamite” at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, which is unusual for them to appear on the red carpet. They shared a sweet intimate look in front of the camera.
