Aaron Phypers was all smiles after bonding after being arrested for spousal abuse.
Photos published by TMZ showed Denise Richards’ estranged husband smiling broadly as he posed alongside a California bond woman on Friday night.
Fipers wore a light blue button-down shirt tucked into dark jeans. He paired the look with a black suit jacket.
Fipers, 53, was arraigned in a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday on charges of spousal abuse amid her controversial divorce from Richards.
Witnesses told Fox News that Phypers could be heard shouting and arguing with deputies as he rode the escalator back to the courtroom to retrieve his cell phone and belongings.
Hours later, he was released from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department after posting $200,000 bail.
Richards had previously filed for a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend in July after Phypers allegedly blindsided her during an argument.
At the time, sources claimed Richards was injured while drinking, and Phypers denied the abuse allegations against Richards.
“This is consistent with Denise Richards’ continued lies in trying to hide her alcohol problems,” a source claimed to the Daily Mail.
“That photo was taken in the winter of 2022, and in fact, she was drunk at the time and fell down the stairs to Aaron’s[now-closed holistic medicine]clinic Q360.”
Now, the “Wild Things” star is trying to get a permanent restraining order against his ex-girlfriend.
Earlier this month, Ms Richards, 54, testified that Mr Phypers had assaulted her on numerous occasions.
In a harrowing testimony, Richards told Los Angeles Superior Court that Phypers suffered “at least three concussions” during their relationship, according to People magazine.
In addition to suffering a black eye as a result of the January 17, 2022 incident, she also claimed that Phypers “slammed[her]into a concrete wall and[her]head hit it.” The second incident occurred between March and May 2022.
Mr Phypers hit back at Richards’ claims during a restraining order hearing last Wednesday, telling his lawyer it was safe to say that Richards was “bruising easily”.
Quantum360’s former owner, who had previously accused Richards of abusing painkillers and alcohol, also testified that he did not remember the black eye. However, he remembered that Richards had “bruises” around his eyes at the time.
“She had bruises on her arms and all kinds of bruises. She got bruises while cooking and she fell down,” he testified, adding that he witnessed Richards getting injured “frequently.”
