Steve Carell and Jenna Fischer held a mini The Office reunion backstage at Fisher’s new play Ashland Avenue.
On October 17, Fisher, 51, shared an Instagram post with behind-the-scenes snaps with Carell, 63. “Look who came to my art show,” she began her post, referring to The Office character Pam Beesly. “Steve and Nancy, we love you! This weekend is our last four shows. We don’t want it to end.”
In a video at the beginning of an Instagram carousel, Carell surprised fans backstage, prompting applause and exclaiming, “How great is she in this play?” before giving her former co-star a hug. Another photo shows the pair posing with a fan photo of Carell, who played Michael Scott on The Office, during an episode of Pam’s art show.
The actor then posed for a group photo with his Fisher’s Ashland Avenue castmates.
The reunion with Carell comes months after Fisher reunited with her “Office” co-star Rainn Wilson in July. Wilson, 59, played Dwight Schrute on the hit comedy show. According to Wilson, he was reunited with “one of my favorite people on the planet” over lunch.

“And I recorded the audio in the backseat of her car for those damn office ladies! (For anyone wondering why she eats breakfast for lunch. I’m overweight so I ate a salad.)” Wilson shared in the caption, referring to rewatching The Office podcast, which Fisher co-hosts with Angela Kinsey (Angela Martin).
Fisher is currently appearing in the play Ashland Avenue, written by her husband Lee Kirk and directed by Susan V. Booth, at Chicago’s Goodman’s Albert Theater. According to the play’s official plot synopsis, Ashland Avenue tells the story of Pete’s TV & Video, a store with a “brave owner known for his legendary commercials and customer care.”

“But these are new times, and while Pete’s last store location is struggling, his daughter and heir to the family business, Sam, has other dreams,” the synopsis continues. “This hilarious and moving new play starring Chicago’s Frances Guinan (The Cherry Orchard) and Emmy nominee Jenna Fischer (The Office) asks what happens when we leave our parents’ footsteps and follow our hearts.”
Ashland Avenue continues through Sunday, October 19th.
