Nicki Minaj is at risk of losing her $20 million Los Angeles mansion after failing to pay a man her husband allegedly assaulted in 2019.
Thomas Weidenmuller claimed in court documents obtained by Page Six that the “Anaconda” rapper and his husband Kenneth Petty refused to pay him more than $500,000 after he filed an assault lawsuit against a registered sex offender.
Weidenmuller has now asked the court to help Minaj recover the money by putting Minaj’s 11-bedroom home in Hidden Hills, California, up for sale.
“This home is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homeownership exemption, for a total value of just under $14 million,” court documents state.
“The current fair market value of this property is assessed at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond liens and exemptions. This amount, along with accrued interest and enforcement costs, is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment.”
Weidenmuller’s lawyers argue in documents that selling the pop star’s home “would free up millions of dollars and satisfy the entire judgment.”
“Minaj is a global music superstar with an estimated net worth of between $150 million and $190 million.”
and is reportedly the highest-paid female rap star in the world,” the document states.
“There is little doubt that she is capable of paying the judgment in full, but despite multiple written requests for payment and levies from several possible creditors, she has refused to pay.[Weidenmuller]does not need to wait any longer.”
Page Six reached out to Minaj’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
US Weekly first reported the news.
Weidenmuller claimed that Petty, 47, punched him in the jaw while he was working security at a Minaj concert in Germany in 2019.
The incident allegedly occurred after the Starships host, whose real name is Onika Maraj, berated a female security guard for letting a male fan on stage during a show.
Minaj, 42, is said to have yelled “fuck you” at the security guard while recording the derogatory exchange.
Weidenmuller, who was in charge of security that night, said he stood up to comfort the crying security guard before approaching the “Barbershop: The Next Cut” actress and discussing the incident.
“Who do you think you are?” Minaj allegedly yelled before throwing the shoe at her.
Weidenmuller then claimed that the “Moments 4 Life” rapper was suddenly punched by Petty in the room and verbally berated him before breaking his jaw.
As a result of the assault charges, Weidenmuller claimed he had to undergo eight surgeries to repair damage to his jaw, which required the insertion of five plates in his face.
Based on the default judgment, the judge ordered Weidenmuller to pay $503,318 in damages.
Minaj and Petty married in October 2019 and gave birth to a son known only as “Papa Bear” in September 2020.
