Cher’s relationship with Alexander “AE” Edwards heated up again on December 25, 2022, when the music icon shared a photo on Twitter of Edwards’ giant pear-shaped diamond ring, which also featured a jewelry box and a flaming manicure design.
“No words,” Cher wrote in the caption, adding: “Alexander, AE.”
In what appeared to be a strong hint of engagement, Cher posted the photo again a few hours later, coyly saying she posted it because “his nails were so cool.”
In May 2023, TMZ reported that the couple had broken up weeks earlier after six months of dating and were not even engaged. Then, in mid-September 2023, it was reported that the two were exploring a relationship again.
In October 2024, Cher and Edwards walked the pink carpet at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show together, showing that they are still going strong and strong. They are still together in 2025.

Who is Alexander “A.E.” Edwards?
Edwards is Def Jam Records’ vice president of A&R and is known for his relationship with model and reality star Amber Rose. He and Rose began dating in 2018 and had a son together in 2019, whom they named Slash Electric Alexander Edwards. The two broke up in 2021.

Us Weekly reported on September 18, 2023 that the two parties are seeking a reconciliation. “Even though they called things off a few months ago, they continued to communicate,” the source said. “They’ve reached a point where they want to start over again. Afterwards, the two appeared together on the streets several times during Paris Fashion Week. On Friday, September 28th, they arrived together at the Hotel Costes. Cher wore a black leather jacket over the same satin dress, and Edwards wore a black tuxedo jacket over a white button-down. They both had platinum blonde hair. On the same day, the two were photographed together again in black ensembles at the Givenchy show.
On Sunday, October 1st, the two were spotted arriving together at the Valentino show.
On January 6, 2024, Cher apparently told her followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) that she and Edwards would be on good terms in the new year. She posted a photo of herself sitting on his lap. In the photo, she is smiling warmly at him while gently touching his chin.

In March, the two visited Paris again and enjoyed a fashion show together.
They then headed to Los Angeles at the end of the month to attend the 3rd Annual Attorney Ben Crump EJN Awards Ceremony on Friday, March 28th. Cher wore a jeweled tweed coat. Edwards wore an oversized black suit over a white satin button-down.
On April 6th, we witnessed our first couple sighting this month. The couple flew to Milan for Dolce & Gabbana’s 40th anniversary party. Cher wore a black and white fur coat and shredded black pants. Edwards was wearing a black suit.

How long have Cher and Edwards been dating?
Cher began tweeting about Edwards in November 2022, sharing heart emojis and photos of him with her fans. That same month, they were spotted holding hands in Los Angeles. The 77-year-old singer and the 37-year-old artist apparently met at Paris Fashion Week in September 2022.

A source close to the couple told TMZ on May 1, 2023, that Cher and Edwards quietly broke up several weeks ago. Although the exact reason was not revealed, reports revealed that the two were not actually engaged. Edwards had just given Cher a diamond ring for the holidays, and the two sparked some fun engagement speculation.

TMZ wrote that a representative said the two are “still romantically together and very happy.” Edwards was attending the festival with friends, the rep added, clarifying that there was “no drama behind Cher’s absence.”

After staying in Monaco, the couple flew to Saint-Tropez by helicopter in late May. The pair were spotted walking hand in hand in the seaside town on their way to Club 55 for lunch.
