Cher took her ice cream brand and her younger boyfriend to New York for the weekend.
The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer, 79, and her much younger producer Alexander “AE” Edwards, 39, celebrated the opening of Alan Faena’s new hotel in West Chelsea on Friday, and the pair reportedly looked transfixed.
“Cher and her boyfriend are very close and stuck together… They seem very much in love and happy to be together.”ce told Page Six.
Cher and Edwards attended the private opening of “Amaze, Vogue, Ascend, Flourish,” an installation commissioned by Faena Art that transformed the hotel’s courtyard into a retro roller skating rink.
The two arrived hand-in-hand, and when they weren’t together, Cher and Faena served guests “cerlato” ice cream, a frozen desert they made with Giampaolo “Giapo” Grazioli.
“She was in great spirits and playing with her friends and boyfriend. She felt excited and free all night long,” the source said.
Gayle King, Amy Sacco, artists Ashley Longshore, Grace Faena and drag legend Lady Bunny were some of the VIPs who turned out to celebrate.
Bunny, who appeared on the billboard alongside LGBTQ trailblazers Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera and Willy Ninja, observed that Cher “really seems to enjoy cuddling with men,” according to a summary of the event posted on Instagram.
Cher and Edwards visited Indochina and dined with Domenico Dolce, jeweler Laurie Rodkin and stylist Patti Wilson.
Monday Blue, Carvin Mark, The Muse, Justin Strauss, Stormin’ Norman, and Bunny performed at Faena throughout the weekend.
