Megan Fox has joined the cast of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 as the voice of Toy Chica.
The film, a horror sequel set in a haunted Chuck E. Cheese-style shop known as Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, will be released in theaters on December 5th.
Additional cast members newly announced for the Universal and Blumhouse film include Matt Pat as the voice of Toy Bonnie and Kellen Goff as Toy Freddy.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 sees Emma Tammi return as director. Josh Hutcherson, who starred in the first film, also returns for the sequel, and the cast includes Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio.
Hutcherson starred in the original version as a night security guard at Freddy’s Fazbear’s Pizza, where animatronic mascots are prone to murder. The studio hasn’t revealed which mechanical beasts will be returning for the sequel, but they did share a new tagline: “Anyone can survive five nights. There are no second chances this time.”
Five Nights at Freddy’s, based on the popular video game, grossed $297 million worldwide in October 2023, making it the highest-grossing Blumhouse film in history. All are being streamed simultaneously on Peacock.
The casting news was announced Friday night at New York Comic Con during Jason Blum’s Blumfest panel, which celebrated several upcoming Blumhouse titles, including Black Phone 2, the video game Sleep Awake, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.
Foxx recently starred opposite Michelle Morrone in Millennium Media’s thriller film “Subservience” and appeared in the Amazon comedy series “Overcompensating.” Her other notable recent credits include the dark comedies “Till Death,” “Night Teeth,” “Big Gold Brick” and “The Expendables 4.”
