Later that month, Swift was once again a true friend of Carpenter when he cried out Carpenter’s new album Short ‘n Sweet on her Instagram Story. Swift shared those photos together, writing below it, “Short (Check Mark), Sweet (Check Mark) created an extraordinary album (Check Mark).”

In an interview with CBS Sunday morning, Carpenter shared more about her friendship with Swift, saying, “She is very supportive of me, knows who I am as a person, and is very supportive of it.”
On October 18th, Swift began the next leg of her ERAS tour in Miami, debuting several new outfits. Carpenter appears to have responded with a deleted tweet. The tweet contained three letters and an exclamation point, and responded to the Taylor Nation Post.
It could have been a mistaken tweet, but Carpenter is clearly paying attention to Swift’s fan account because he is a fan.
On October 26th, Carpenter joined Swift in New Orleans. There, the ERAS tour star was performing another of three scheduled concerts in Louisiana at the Caesars Superdome. The pair sang duets, then mashups of songs that included Carpenter’s “Espresso” and Swift’s song “Is it now?”. From her album 1989.
They also featured Carpenter’s “please.” Swift wore a long orange gown and heel while playing the guitar, while Carpenter wore a sparkling white baby dress and silver platform Mary Janes.

Rumors were rampant when fans noticed Carpenter posted to Instagram five days ago with the caption “Let’s get dressed!” With her upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend promotion. When Carpenter joined Swift on stage on the Airs Tour and the two performed “espresso,” Swift said variations of those words to Carpenter before the short n’Sweetstar went on stage. Was Swift laying Easter eggs for collaboration?
Certainly, she was. Swift confirmed that Carpenter is featured on the title track of the new album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” Carpenter “knows me because I know someone is going crazy,” she also shared some photos with Swift.
