Vanessa Hudgens looks back at the beginning of something new.
The actress rarely commented on her falling to her ex-boyfriend Zac Efron while filming “high school musicals” on Wednesday.
Hudgens, who played Gabriella Montes in the Disney Channel movie franchise, spoke about her romance with former co-star Bart Johnson on the “Get Your Head in the Game” podcast.
My first impression of Efron’s “Say Ok” who acted with her as Troy Bolton during the audition was, “Oh, my god, he’s so cute.”
She admitted that their “chemistry was very realistic” and said, “There was another girl for Gabriella and another guy for Troy.
Hudgens added that the former couple’s off-screen romance benefited on-screen performance.
“It’s really (help me),” confirmed the “Beast” star. “Especially when you’re young and it’s all sweet and innocent.”
Her and Efron, 37, were items from 2005 to 2010.
Hudgens dated actor Austin Butler for nearly a decade after his breakup in 2020 with MLB player Cole Tucker.
The 29-year-old athlete popped the question during a trip to Paris in November 2022 and married Hudgens in Mexico a year later.
Their first child whose name and gender have not been revealed was born in July 2024.
The couple announced the following summer that their second baby was on the way in a maternity photo shoot.
Efron sweetly gushed out the growing family of Haggens last year to access Hollywood, predicting that his ex will become “the best mom ever.”
As for the love life of “Down to Earth” alum, he has been linked to more stars over the years, including “Fast and Furious” star Michelle Rodriguez, businessman Sami Miro and his “Neighbor” co-star Halston Sage.
Efron and Nina Dobrev recently sparked rumors of romance after the “Vampire Diaries” alum split from Sean White, but she shot speculation on Wednesday.
Dobrev, 26, shook his head “no” when asked if they were together.
