Prince William couldn’t help but be emotional as he reflected on the death of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
In a preview clip of upcoming episodes of Apple TV+’s “The Recructant Traveller,” Prince of Wales explains how Windsor Home reminds him of Matriarch during a conversation with host Eugene Levy.
“Do you miss your grandmother?” Levi asks William, according to Hello Magazine, while sitting in the magnificent castle in the teaser.
“I actually do it, yes. I miss my grandmother and grandfather,” William replies, referring to the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021.
“It was a pretty big change, so you do something sort of thing – you think they aren’t here anymore, especially in Windsor.
“She loved it here. She spent most of her time here. What she shows you today is trying to make sure I’m doing it like she wants to see it to you.”
“She also had a horse here. It was a big deal for her, as you can imagine, so she loved it here,” Prince of Wales adds to the episode.
Before her death, the Queen especially showed her favor to Windsor Castle, choosing to spend much of her last year there. She is buried in St. George’s Chapel on the castle grounds.
William moved with his wife Kate Middleton and three children, George (ages 12, 12 and 10), from London to Adelaide Cottage near Windsor.
However, the family of five recently announced that they would be relocating to their new family home “later this year,” so it may not be that long.
William and his chick move to “Forever Home,” an eight-bedroom property known as Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
“Windsor has become their home,” a source told the Sun in August, explaining why William and Middleton, 43, chose to stay in the area.
“The move gives them a new start and a new chapter, and they have the opportunity to leave more unfortunate memories,” the insider continued.
The family reportedly needed some change after facing the “severeest” year of Middleton’s cancer diagnosis in 2024.
