Radial Entertainment has appointed two veteran distribution executives to lead sales and strategic operations as the newly formed company is increasing its global content products.
Julie Dunker will be appointed co-head of sales, distribution, strategy, global licensing and international distribution, while Daniel Gagrialdi will assume the role of joint head of sales, distribution, strategy and North American digital distribution. Both report to Chief Earnings and Strategy Officer Johnny Holden.
The appointment comes as a radial and controls the movie climbing and screaming! The studio brand, backed by Oaktree Capital Management, is looking to expand its footprint across streaming platforms and international markets with a library of over 70,000 titles.
“Julie and Daniel have built a prominent career in the entertainment industry by driving strategic partnerships, sales and distribution with leading studios, streaming platforms and broadcasters,” Holden said in a statement. Executives noted that their expertise will “help growth and help improve strategies for successful sales and distribution across platforms around the world.
Dansker will be joining us from Shout! Studios served as Senior Vice President of Streaming and Content Strategy, overseeing licensing and streaming sales while directing content delivery strategies across SVOD, AVOD and broadcast partners. She helped launch high-speed channels and manage her relationships with global streaming partners. At Radial, she will spearhead international distribution efforts and TVOD operations, expanding the company’s presence in new markets.
She is currently in office at Shout! In the studio, Dunker was part of the team behind the original productions, including Tim Blake Nelson’s “Old Henry” and Viggo Mortensen’s “No Dead.”
Gagliardi manages AVOD, SVOD and Fast Partnership from his previous role as executive VP of Global Streaming and Strategy on FilmRise. In his new position, he oversees licensing for North American digital platforms and manages a portfolio of Radial, with 98 owned and operated high-speed channels distributed to more than 750 endpoints worldwide.
Before FilmRise, Gagliardi served as head of content for Vudu (now Fandango at Home), building the platform’s content partnership team and commissioning the original production. He also played the role of VP overseeing television and digital distribution at Lionsgate, where he secured Avod deals with platforms such as Tubi, Pluto TV and Roku.
The company’s catalogue spans true crime, reality, animation, action, horror and other genres, positioning it as one of the largest independent content libraries in the industry.
