Taylor Swift reportedly gave a heartfelt speech at a star-studded wedding reception for Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco in Santa Barbara, California over the weekend.
“Lovers” diva and fellow musician Ed Sheeran has worked with Slanco on several albums, but was one of the few people who spoke at Saturday’s gathering, people reported.
Each of the newlyweds’ parents also said a few words.
“At the reception, everyone was relaxing and celebrating until the night,” an insider told the outlet.
“The atmosphere was so much fun. They were shining all night and both Serena and Benny couldn’t stop smiling. There was so much love in the room.”
The 35-year-old Swift representative and the 34-year-old Sheeran representative did not immediately respond to Page 6’s request for comment.
As Page Six previously reported, Swift flew to Santa Barbara airport on Friday afternoon to celebrate Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37.
The “lovers” diva was escorted from her private jet by several people to protect her with a black umbrella.
Page 6 found out that other guests opted out of booking rooms at the Ritziel Encanto Hotel, where they reportedly stayed for $3,500 per night, and instead stayed in a rental home.
“She’ll rent a house near the wedding venue, which is a secret of the public,” we were told by an insider. “I feel that her security team is better than the hotel.”
According to Sun, the El Encanto Hotel was booked for Gomez and Blanco’s wedding on the last weekend of September.
Insider told the outlet on September 16 that wedding guests would be picking up from the hotel and driving to the ceremony at an unknown location.
“Everyone is very excited. Despite the mystery, they know it’s going to be a great time,” the insider said.
In July it was revealed that Gomez and Blanco would only invite close family and friends to the ceremony.
With A-listers such as Swift and Travis Kelce on their invitation lists, the couple reportedly considered a policy that no cell phones were being considered.
“Serena’s wedding security is of paramount importance as she is not only a public figure, but also many of her guests,” the source told the Daily Mail.
“She is going back and forth between allowing people to have their phones as a special measure of security and privacy.
At the time, another insider denied that the couple had scheduled their wedding for the fall to accommodate Swift’s busy schedule.
Blanco went on one knee after going on a date with Gomez in December 2024.
“It’s going to start forever,” the actress captioned a photo of herself with the producer.
At the time, Swift was joking in the comments section that she would “become a flower girl.”
Despite the long-standing friendship between the “lovers” diva and Gomez, the Grammy winner didn’t attend the latter bachelor party last month in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
