James Gunn is lined up to play Batman, Hollywood’s biggest stars.
In a recent interview with IGN, DC Studios boss James Gunn revealed that many A-listers are interested in playing the caped crusades in the upcoming film Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He also said they have taken some freedom in the famous Bruce Wayne Origin story, and the film’s plot is still “fluid.”
“Something has changed,” Gunn said. “There’s a lot going on about his situation being in his parent-child relationship and all of that, so I don’t take it. Yeah, I mean, I can’t tell you the amount of big actors who listened and said they wanted to be Batman first.”
He said, “I think you’ll have a hard time finding an actor who doesn’t want to be Batman. He’s a character that everyone wants to play, and that’s the truth.”
Christian Bale was the man who brought Batman to the present day, claiming Christopher Nolan’s highly respected “The Dark Knight” trilogy. More recently, Robert Pattinson took the reins as the brooding Gotham City vigilante starring Matt Reeves’ 2022 reboot of “Batman.” He will also redisplay the role of “The Batman: Part II” set for release on October 1, 2027.
Variety reported only in 2023 that “Flash” director Andy Muschietti is obsessed with “Batman: The Brave The Bold.” The film is based on the Grant Morrison comic series. At Grant Morrison, Bruce Wayne works with Damian, the biological son who will take on Robin’s moniker.
