Netflix will have viewers check in at “Haunted Hotel” as the adult animated comedy series has been updated in Season 2.
The show of “Rick and Morty” author Matt Lawler follows a single mother who raises two children and runs the hotel Undervale, which is plagued by chance. Luckily she gets the help of management from her estranged brother. He is now one of the ghosts occupying the hotel.
“Haunted Hotel” features audio cast featuring Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson. The first season began airing in September, winning in what Netflix calls a “very competitive auction.” The update will take place just a week after Season 1’s release.
Roller is a showrunner at the “Haunted Hotel” after co-exercise for two seasons: Dan Harmon’s “Crapopolis” and Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s “Mr. Mayor” and “Goldberg.” His writing credits include Speechless, Community, Son of Zorn, Rick and Morty, and FX’s Archer.
He produces the “Haunted Hotel” along with Chris McKenna, Harmon and Steve Levy. Erica Hayes is the director.
“We are excited to work with Netflix and the incredibly talented cast and crew to order the tale of the struggling hospitality workers at Dead, The Evil and The Undervale Hotel,” Roller said in a statement.
Billy Wee, Netflix’s Director of Adult Animation, added: “The ‘Haunted Hotel’ is extremely original and we’re very grateful for Matt, Chris, Dan and their team for bringing talent to Netflix.
