Sony Pictures TV Chairman Keith Le Goy has joined Variety’s C-Suite Conversation Block lineup, which will be announced at MIPCOM in Cannes.
Le Goy will be taking part in a one-on-one interview with Chief Variety Editor Cynthia Littleton on Monday, October 13th, at Palais des Festivals on the opening of a four-day gathering for buyers and sellers in the global television and film business.
The lineup also features Elizabeth Dalview, CEO of Mediawan Pictures. The C-Suite conversation will be led to the annual Variety Vanguard Awards presented alongside MIPCOM to executives who have contributed significantly to the growth of global content BIZ. This year’s Vanguard recipient is Marco Bassetti, CEO of Banijay Entertainment.
“Keith Le Goy is one of the most respected, shocking and insightful deal makers on the international stage,” said Lucy Smith, director of Mipcom Cannes. “The successful approach of investing in Sony Pictures Television’s creative storytelling and adopting strategic risks with the freedom to produce and sell each series independently provides Keith with a unique perspective on current dynamics, opportunities and industry advancements.”
Le Goy was tapped in January to lead Sony’s television business amid the CEO transition at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Le Goy has been on Sony TV since 1999. He is steadily increasing the distribution and marketing rank within Sony with an emphasis on international expertise. Before Sony, Le Goy worked for Walt Disney in Europe.
The interview for Le Goy’s keynote speech comes ahead of the exclusive opening night preview screening of MIPCOM’s “Miniature Wife.” Sony Pictures TV’s highly anticipated relationship doramedy is scheduled to premiere at Peacock next year. The screening will take place on the evening of Monday, October 13th at 6pm local time at the Grand Auditorium in Palais. It is open to all MIPCOM participants. “The Miniature Wife” stars Matthew McFadien, Ott Fagbenl and Cyan Clifford.
