Reza Rahadian’s “On Your Lap” emerged as the biggest winner at the Vision Awards ceremony at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, claiming four honors.
The Indonesian actor-turned director’s debut featured sweeping the KB Vision Audience Award, the Fipresci Award, the Bishkek International Film Festival’s Central Asia Cinema Award and the Face of the Future Award.
Tribeny Rai’s “Shape of Momo” secured double honors at both the Songwon Vision Award and the Taipei Film Commission Award.
The NetPac Awards were sent to “Malika” in Nataliaubarova, but Kyrgyz filmmakers Elke Divmakmatova and Emil Atageldiev shared the perception of “Krak” who received both Bangladesh’s July Memorial Award and the vision for the Zisek Award.
Among the winners of the Hylife Vision Award were Anshul Chauhan’s “Tiger” and Sanju Surendran’s “Winter Night.” Iranian filmmaker Shahram Mokri’s “Black Rabbit, White Rabbit” brought home the International Film Festival for the Vision Asia Awards in India.
In the acting category, Lee Seung-young won the Yyear-aware actor for “Goral”, and Moon Woo-jin received the same honor for his performance in “Accordion Door”.
The Korean film was well represented along with Jeong Seung-O’s “Coming Of Age,” who claims both the DGK Plus M Award and the Songwon Citizen Critics ‘Award. Kim Jininu’s “Journey and” also won double honors at the DGK Plus M Award and KBS Independent Film Award.
Lee Kwang-Kuk’s “Beautiful Dreamer” won the CGV Award, while his son Kyeong-Su’s “The Accordion Door” won the Cine21 Award. The Critics Prize B was sent to Lim Jun Wang’s “Observer’s Diary.”
In the specialty categories, Vivek Chaudhary’s “I, Poppy,” the Busan Cinephile Award, Wang Minchol’s “Where We Stay a Stay a Stay,” won the Documentary Audience Award, while Frederik Sølberg’s “Hana Korea” won the Flash Forward Audies Award.
