Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson have been friends for decades and are now working on a new project together: Holmes’s film Happy Hour.
Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are officially reunited. Former Dawson Creekster is collaborating on Holmes’ upcoming film Happy Hour. The pair have been on a date decades ago since the filming scene was discovered in New York City, so fans have speculated about the potential for a romantic rekind.
However, sources have recently revealed that they have not returned together. Insider told Entertainment Tonight that Holmes and Jackson are “just friends.” According to sources, “They have a special bond and love how excited their excited fans are. It’s not like rekindling romantic relationships.”
First, the complete history of their relationship.
1998
Holmes and Jackson met when they co-starred in Dawson Creek, a teenage drama that was a hit in the 90s. The show ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2003. Their characters, Joey Potter (Holmes) and Pacey Witter (Jackson), engaged in the Again On relationship throughout the series before eventually getting married.
And the actors took their romance off the screen. In a 1998 interview with Rolling Stone, Holmes, 19, hinted at an IRL relationship with Jackson. “Last year I wished you good luck and had a really great, wonderful experience,” she said. The journalist then stated that her amazing dating experience has it with “good authority” as her Dawson Creek co-star.
“I’m going to say I met someone last year,” she replied. “I fell in love, I had my first love, and it’s very incredible to cherish it all the time, as I always cherish it, and I feel very fortunate that he is one of my best friends now,” she continued. “He’s been in business for a long time. He really helped me. I respect him as a friend and as an expert.”

Jackson appeared on an episode of Canadian talk show George Strombropoulos tonight. In an interview, he talked about a recent call he received from Holmes. “Like an old friend, I had a child. ‘Oh, hello, what’s up? What’s going on?’ “Yeah, I heard it was crazy. It was great, it was actually very good.” At the time he had a relationship with German actress Diane Kruger.

In an interview with the Times, Jackson talked about his previous relationship with Holmes. “We were kids,” he said.
He also shared that Dawson’s Creekcast has a WhatsApp group chat. “That’s not very useful, but I’m sure someone will show up every now and then,” he said. “We passed the 25th anniversary (in January) (of the show), so there was a gust of text. “Oh, what a god, I can’t believe we all experienced that together.” That’s clearly such a formative point in all of our lives. ”

Holmes was interviewed for the Times and was asked about Dawson’s Creek What Up Group, but she apparently knew nothing. “We all text messages from time to time, but I didn’t know WhatsApp,” she said. “But what do you know? I’m really not good at WhatsApp. I’m a little too much, so I won’t check it out.”
However, she shared that she was in touch with the cast “occasionally.” She added, “Everyone is growing and busy, but the bond will be there forever.”

Jackson appeared on episodes of Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s podcast, dinner podcast. During a conversation about Dawson Creek, Jackson reveals that he and Holmes are still “very close.” He said, “It’s not a daily call. Sometimes it’s not a weekly, monthly, or six months call, but when you’re together… I know, it’s always there.”

Holmes announced that she and Jackson will work together again in the new film Happy Hour.
“Working with Josh years later is a testament to friendship,” she writes. “Happy Hour is a love story that involves so many people I admire. No one can wait to see what we’re making.”
Holmes is set to direct, write and star in Happy Hour with Jackson. According to Deadline, the upcoming trilogy is about navigating their relationship in the challenges of career and family responsibility and pursuit of love, despite the inevitable obstacles to life.
The rest of the cast includes Constance Woo, Mary Luis Parker, Donald Weber Jr. and John McGinty. The first production of the three films is currently underway in New York.
On the same day as Holmes’ Instagram post, she and Jackson were spotted filming Happy Hour in New York.

Sources took the rumours off and shut it down like crazy, telling Entertainment Tonight, “Not to rekindle a romantic relationship. They’re just friends.” The insider said, “Josh and Katie are excited to work together again. They have a special bond and I love how excited the fans are.”

They were seen filming the scene at Washington Square Park. Jackson pushed the stroller, implying that their characters would probably have a baby during Happy Hour.
July 28th
The actors filmed and filmed in Brooklyn, and Holmes was in director mode.

On September 22nd, Holmes and Jackson participated in Dawson’s Creekli Union Charity fundraiser to raise funds for the nonprofit F Cancer. According to Us Weekly, they were seen holding hands and leaning against each other’s shoulders throughout the event.
Holmes and Jackson are also joined by fellow cast members Michelle Williams, Busy Phillips, Carr Smith, John Wesley Ship, Mary Margaret Humes, Meredith Monroe, Mary Beth Pale, Nina Lepeta and show creator Kevin Williamson. Van der Beek, who plays Dawson Rayley in the series and currently battling stage 3 colon cancer, was unable to attend the event, so Lynn Manuel Miranda was replaced.
The cast had a read through of Dawson’s Creek pilot script and sang towards the show’s theme song.
