Penn Bajrie and Domino Kirque met in 2014 and quickly got along seriously, connecting with each other by living in New York City. Although Kirke is not an actress herself, she is a sister to Gemima and Laura Kirke, known for her respective roles in the Jungle Girl and Mozart.
Three years after the meeting, they got married and continued to welcome their children in 2020. In 2025, they announced they were expecting two more. This is what is known about Kirke’s relationship with her so far.
Who is Domino’s Kirque?
Kirke is the daughter of Simon Kirke, known as the co-founder and drummer of the Band Bad Company, and Lorraine Kirke, the owner of a vintage shop and interior decorator. While her family is clearly drawn to performance, Kirke is the co-founder of the Carriage House, where she studies to become a Doula and Reiki practitioner and serves pregnant women. In 2021, she and Joanna Griffiths released a book about postnatal mothers’ experiences entitled “After birth: Portraits of love and the beauty of parent-child relationships.”
But she sings and acts! She attended Fiorello H. Lagardia High School, studied music and formed a band called Dominoes. In 2017, she released an album entitled Mark Ronson Beyond Waves and toured. One of her songs is featured in the Lena Dunham film Tiny Furniture.
She self-directed the music video for the song “Half Blood,” about the half brothers, featuring her half brothers, her husband and his half sister, Jen.
“I wanted to understand the connection with the other half of my siblings, so I invited friends and strangers to tell their stories and tell them as well,” Kirk told the paper.
In 2009, she had her eldest son, Cassius, along with musician Morgan Okane.
How did Bajri and Kirk meet?
They were first discovered together in New York City in the summer of 2014, but reportedly they were dating for several months. On his podcast, she later states that they met at a meatball shop and Kirk offers to let him stay at her place when he hears he’s couch surfing in town. He said no, but they swapped numbers.
“I’ve gotten used to being a single mother, but I’ve probably gotten a little used to it,” Kirk said. “I was doing really good things with my kids. We were like this little team. Penn and I were dating, but of course it wasn’t as serious as it is now. I didn’t think marriage was on our cards.”
Both the couple accepted the Bahai faith. Bajri is believed as part of why they were ready for marriage when they began to connect.
“I don’t think I can truly cherish human love until I develop God’s love,” Penn told people in 2018. “Domino and I had a very romantic beginning, and I think you discovered that you’ve been married for decades.
When did they get married?
The couple held two different ceremonies in 2017. First was a small civil ceremony in Brooklyn, where we had dinner at Maison May in February, then a large reception at Domino’s mother’s house in Wacca Book, New York in June.
“My first wedding was a civil ceremony of about 40 people, where about 40 people could be in the pinch,” Kirke said. “The second one was more planned. 200 people came from all over the world. I felt I needed to have both.”

Since their marriage, Bajri has spoken about her faithfulness and how she feels about her role in intimate scenes.
In an episode of the podcast podcast in 2023, he asked the creator, “Cera Gamble, (The)” “Can we have any more intimate scenes?” This was a decision I made before I published it so far, but one of the main things is, would you like to go back to my career path where I am always a romantic lead?
He elaborated in a later interview with Variety, saying that he almost refused the role due to the show’s sex scene.
“That’s not where I blurred the lines. There’s very little I can say by dedicating more,” he said. “That aspect of Hollywood has always been very intrusive to me, and the aspect of its work, that mercury boundary has always been something I don’t really want to play with.
Do you have children?
In addition to Kirke’s son Cassius Reilly, Kirke gave birth to her first child on August 20, 2020, along with Budley, a son named James.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Kirke revealed that the couple had two miscarriages in a row before they could conceive their son.
“I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was finished,” Kirk wrote. “As a birther, I see it all and hear it all. I need everything I have to lovely separate from the losses that I existed. When I was pregnant at 25, I knew nothing. I didn’t realize I was blissful about the community and its mystery.
She told her future children, “You’re already teaching us how to stay that day in a way that we don’t need. Little. Thank you.”
In February 2025, the couple announced they were hoping for twins. On the last day of the month, Kirke posted on Instagram, calling her pregnancy a “surprise twist.”
“Baby #3 and #4 coming this summer!” she wrote. “Tell us about the plot twist! The spontaneous twins are beyond magic. We are unrespectful. We are alienated.
The post included a photo booth of Badley and her toddler, along with a photograph of a cake that read, “Married over and over again.”
Bajri later spoke about how, as a dad, she played a mentally ill murderer and changed how she approached your role.
“What’s interesting is how my new father influenced my experience with Joe and acted with him, and sometimes it was of little use as I had such a light and enjoyable experience. As a result, it felt almost difficult, you know I really depend on the scene.”
On February 23, 2025, in an interview with the Modern Love Podcast, Perpold, he spoke generally about parenting.
“Sometimes, that can be difficult and you can go beyond that,” he explained. “And for some reason, there’s always a parental era… you lose patience. For me, it’s their vast size, so small, naive, helpless. I lose patience with others.
What else did they say about each other?
In 2019, Bajri wrote a loving tribute to Kirk for her birthday and shared a sweet video of her walking in the snow.
Bajrie was the 2020 actor in an actor video interview for variety with previous co-star Chase Crawford, who co-starred with him and Kirke who saw Gossip Girl together on his famous show.
“We saw it with our wife and Dominoes before we got married,” he said. “It must have been six months since we met. She had never seen it. It was the last time I remember seeing the episode.”
In an interview with Glamour UK, Kirk discussed marrying a big celebrity “who is used to” despite his connections with other celebrities in his family.
“I hadn’t seen Gossip Girl, so when I met him I really didn’t know what all the fuss was,” she said. “So I’m still used to it. He was part of this ensemble, so I think he too. This is new to him. He’s your star, and it’s our shining star. I certainly think it’s a learning curve. I don’t think it feels normal or healthy, so we’re all just used to it.”
They walked the red carpet in October 2024.
The couple appeared at Park Avenue Armory on October 17th at Giorgio Armani Women’s SS25 Fashion Show After Party. Bajri wore a black velvet coat, while bowtie and quierke wore a sleeveless black gown with a long skirt.
The couple made the rare red carpet appearance in April 2025.
On April 23, the couple appeared for a screening of season 5 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Looking forward to Bajlie twins, Kirke wore a flowing red gown with a huge amount of sleeves. Bajri chose to adjust her tan suit and tie.
Bajri confirmed the gender of the twins.
At the premiere, Bajlie shared the genders of the couple’s twins. “They’re the same boys, so now we have four boys,” he told Access Hollywood, adding, “The pressure puts pressure on us because the world needs better men.”
The couple welcomed the twin boys in September 2025.
Bajri revealed on Instagram on September 3rd that she has the same twin son as Kirke.
In the video, Budley whispered about the event and handed the camera to one baby into the pot. “I’ll have a little baby’s legs right away,” he said. “I don’t want to wake them up.”
