Andrew Corvette, executive producer of “Charlie Kirk Shaw” and a close friend of a murder conservative activist, said Charlie Kirk “loved him being featured in ‘South Park’.
On the August 6 episode of “South Park,” entitled “Got a Nut,” Cartman mimics Kirk’s hairstyle and set up a table to discuss students about politics. After Kirk was assassinated while speaking at university on September 10th, Comedy Central pulled the episode out of the linear rotation, but the episode was left to be streamed on Paramount+.
“As someone who could speak with some authority about this, Charlie loved being featured in ‘South Park’,” Corvette wrote in X.
When “South Park” first dropped the episode’s teaser in July, Kirk responded aggressively to being ocked by the series. “To be honest, my first reaction was that I laughed a bit,” he told Fox News Digital in an interview with “South Park” in high school and called the show a “criminal of equal opportunity.” “That’s kind of weird, and it’s kind of going to show the resonance with the cultural influences our movement has been able to achieve. I see this as a badge of honor.”
The founder of Turning Point USA said, “As a conservative, we need to be able to joke about it. We shouldn’t take ourselves seriously. It’s always causing great damage to ourselves and the movement.
At the time, Kirk changed his profile photo for “The Charlie Kirk Show” on both Instagram and Tiktok to a screen grab from Cartman, impersonating him. These profile photos will remain on your social media account.
