The first five minutes of the final season of Stranger Things have been released.
After Season 5 premiered in Los Angeles on Thursday night, Netflix surprisingly released a clip of it on YouTube. Viewers will be taken back to the beginning of the series after the disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) in 1983.
The first episode, titled “The Crawl,” begins with a young Will from the Upside Down trying to calm himself down by softly singing The Clash’s “Should I Stay or Should I Go.” Suddenly, the Demogorgon attacks and follows Will up a tree, leading to a dangerous fall. Will is knocked unconscious and dragged by the Demogorgon to Vecna’s (Jamie Campbell Bower) hideout. Vecna says ominously as she wraps Will around her and puts wine in his mouth. “We can finally begin. You and I will do something very beautiful together.”
The first volume of Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on November 26th, and the second volume will be released on December 25th. The series finale will premiere on December 31st.
The season 5 synopsis reads: “Fall 1987. Hawkins is wounded by the opening of the rift, but our heroes are united by one goal: find and kill Vecna.” “But he’s gone – whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government places the town under military quarantine, intensifies the search for Eleven, and sends her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar terror. The final battle is at hand – and with it comes a darkness more powerful and deadly than any they have faced yet. It will take everyone – the whole party – to end this nightmare.” Stand together one last time. ”
