Millie Bobby Brown clapped back at a photographer who told her to “smile” on the carpet at the London premiere of Stranger Things season 5.
The 21-year-old actress posed in a stunning boudoir-inspired dress on Thursday before stopping and yelling at a photographer. “You laugh? You laugh!” she cried, and stormed off.
The tense moment was caught on camera and quickly spread on social media, with fans reacting in a variety of ways.
“Millie got mad at the photographers and left the carpet…okay, Chapel Lawn,” one critic wrote in X, referring to Millie’s many run-ins with photographers.
“Come on girls don’t give us anything 😍,” another user added sarcastically.
However, many others defended Brown and praised the Emmy nominee for standing up for herself.
One fan commented: “Oh I love her! Of course 😂.” “I love how celebrities are finally starting to talk back,” added another.
“She’s feeling mommy’s wrath!!” another joked, as Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi recently adopted a baby girl.
Others criticized the photographers for asking Brown to smile.
“What I’m trying to say is they told her to smile and that’s definitely justified,” one user wrote. “It’s good for her and good for Chapel. The vultures should only be photographed if they behave well.”
Representatives for Mr. Brown did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This isn’t the first time Brown has made headlines on the Season 5 press tour. Fans were shocked last week after she and co-star David Harbor put up a united front in Los Angeles, shortly after reports of tension on set.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that the “Enola Holmes” actress had accused Harbor of bullying and harassment while filming the Netflix series.
According to the Daily Mail, Brown filed a lengthy complaint about Harbor, 50, before filming began on the series’ fifth and final season.
“Millie Bobby Brown came forward with allegations of harassment and bullying before filming began last season,” a source told the magazine. “There were pages of accusations. The investigation continued for months.”
Harbor reportedly underwent an internal investigation into Brown’s claims, but the outcome of the investigation is unclear. Additionally, Brown reportedly filmed the series finale on set with a personal representative in tow.
Despite the reports, the co-stars, whose characters on the show share a deep bond, warmly hugged each other and smiled for the cameras in Los Angeles. Neither has addressed that claim.
