“OG of the OC” is back!
Vicki Gunvalson is set to return to The Real Housewives of Orange County in season 20.
The news was broken by Andy Cohen during a Bravos taping at BravoCon in Las Vegas on Friday.
While Gunvalson was on stage, Cohen, 57, made a surprise appearance, handed her an orange and asked, “Vicki, will you be a part of Season 20 as a housewife?”
The 63-year-old became emotional as she hugged him and shouted: “Yes!”
Gunvalson, who was a housewife when the show started in 2006, appeared on the series for 14 seasons before announcing her exit in January 2020.
“While I will always remain an OG on The OC, it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County. It’s been an incredible journey of 14 years, and I’d like to thank you all for your support, love, and everything you’ve done to ‘hustle’ with me along the way,” she wrote in a lengthy statement at the time.
“I’m working on new projects that are exciting, empowering and inspiring. My podcast with Westwood One will be launching soon and I’ll be talking more about this on Whoop it up with Vicki,” she added.
“I hope you all will join me on my new journey, so please look forward to it. I love all my fans, and I would like to thank Bravo and Evolution for making it an amazing experience that I and my family will never forget.”
The news comes after Gunvalson and former co-star Tamra Judge ended their feud.
“We’ve had a lot of ups and downs over the past 20 years. We always say we’re like sisters,” Judge told Us Weekly on Nov. 5.
“It’s always a love-hate relationship. I’m talking about sisterhood. Like, you bicker a little bit. And of course, when you’re on a show together, there’s always ups and downs, especially on the type of shows we were on together.”
Gunvalson added, “I don’t think either of us are apologizing. We are who we are. I just have a different perspective on the show, and it’s a strong perspective. I can’t be toxic. I said to Tamra yesterday, ‘You guys are going down a deep, dark hole, and I hate that.'”
The cast of “RHOC” Season 19 included Judge Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, Jennifer Pedranti, and Katie Ginella. It is not yet clear who will join Gunvalson in season 20.
