Venus Williams makes one “cute” bride.
The tennis star married Andrea Preti in a romantic wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend.
The photo showed the couple exchanging vows in front of close friends and family, including Venus’ famous sister Serena Williams.
In photos obtained by Vogue, Venus stunned in a romantic plunging sheer lace wedding dress designed by Georges Hobeika.
“I wanted a dress that would magically fit into a Florida wedding that Andrea would love,” she told the magazine.
The ceremony was planned by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events, the same company that made Serena and Alexis Ohanian’s 2017 wedding a reality.
On September 18th, Venus, 45, and Preti, 37, tied the knot in a lavish wedding on the Italian island of Ischia.
“We had a dream of getting married in Italy,” she told the outlet. “But we didn’t have enough time to complete the paperwork. Since I’m a foreigner, it can take up to eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding.”
After the official ceremony, the two guests were invited to a reception with a Neapolitan-style dinner at R’Isola, an upscale waterfront restaurant, Hola! reported.
Reports about Williams’ wedding plans surfaced on Friday, shortly after she was spotted, with it being reported that she might be attending wedding events.
In the photo, Williams was seen riding a golf cart through the village of Sant’Angelo, wearing a white sun hat with the words “SIG.RA PRETI” engraved on it. In Italian, the word “Sig.ra” is an abbreviation of “signora”, which means “Mrs.”
She also wore a white dress and black sneakers.
Onlookers also reported seeing other members of her party wearing “Team Bride” and “Team Groom” T-shirts.
Williams confirmed his engagement to Preeti in July, a year after they first became romantically involved.
Williams previously dated Annenberg heiress Nicky Hammond for two years. The two amicably broke up in 2019.
“It’s not because they don’t love each other, they do. They’re still friends,” a source told Us at the time.
Before her romance with Hammond, she also dated professional golfer Hank Kuehne and model Elio Pis.
