Twickenham Film Studios has launched Twickenham Investment Services, a new FCA-regulated introduction business that connects film and TV producers with specialist insurance brokers, starting with a partnership with Miller Insurance Services.
The initiative was announced at the Variety International Movie Lunch during the Cannes Film Festival.
TIS operates on a referral-only basis, giving producers efficient access to insurance expertise in the media and entertainment sector. The service connects customers with Miller, an independent specialist broker with Lloyd’s of London market access. The business is open to all producers, whether or not they are based in a West London studio.
Superna Sethi, managing director of Twickenham Film Studios, said: “I have worked closely with the insurance market for many years and have seen first-hand how important the right insurance structure is to the success of independent projects.” “Twickenham Investment Services was established in response to the very real challenges faced by independent feature filmmakers in raising capital as budget pressures increase.”
TIS was co-founded by Brinder Balaji, whose background spans film insurance and executive production. Sethi’s own experience in the insurance market was also cited as central to the creation of the venture.

TIS has been running a soft launch phase since early December 2025, working with a select group of industry participants. The press release stated that the percentage of applications that closed was higher than originally expected.
Founded in 1913, Twickenham Film Studios is one of London’s longest-running production facilities. Miller brings more than 120 years of insurance tradition to the partnership.
