Travis Kelce shared his thoughts on retiring this year after Sunday’s final game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders.

But the tight end hasn’t decided yet whether that means the end of his NFL career, he told his brother Jason Kelce in New Heights. Travis didn’t discuss his thoughts on his fiancée Taylor Swift’s soccer plans, but a year ago he talked about how she wasn’t pressuring him to retire.
On today’s episode, he told Jason that going into the offseason, “[I’m]going to be a normal person for a few weeks, maybe a month,[and]try to figure out what I’m going to do next in terms of my football future.” “I’ve already had exit meetings and things like that, and I’ve already talked to some people in the facility, and at least for now, they know where I stand. I still have a lot of love for the game, and I don’t think I’ll ever lose that.”
He specifically stated the conditions for playing next season: “It’s a tough thing to get through, but at the same time, if my body can recover and rest and have the confidence to go out and run another 18, 20, 21 weeks, then I’ll do it right away. I think right now it’s just about finding that answer and seeing how my body feels after this game and when everything settles down.”
During an appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show in January 2025, Travis said Swift was not pressuring him to retire. “She totally encourages me to enjoy the game,” he said. “She loves coming to Arrowhead (Stadium) and coming to the games and cheering me on, so I have all the support in the world to keep pursuing these dreams.”
He added that supporting each other’s careers is what makes their relationship so meaningful.
“I personally think the beauty of having really strong relationships is that you have the support to focus on your craft and focus on being the best version of yourself,” he explained. “So I wanted to go to the concert and support her and be by her side and make her feel comfortable and supported in everything she does in life. I’m just as focused on my job as I’ve always been and focused on being the best player on this team every week because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”

The couple, who have been dating for more than two years, have kept most of their current plans private, but a source told US Weekly on December 16 that they are planning a wedding.
A source said, “Taylor thinks it’s cute[with Travis attending]and their bond has grown stronger,” adding, “Considering the number of guests, it won’t be a super large wedding.”
A source said they are also talking about starting a family after the wedding, adding, “Taylor and Travis are both very excited about their next chapter.”
