Ex Kayla Nicole of Travis Kelce admits she’s “famous” with online trolls. It’s a few days after Taylor Swift snuggled the model with songs from her new album.
Nicole spoke to social media critics on Saturday’s episode of The Pre-Game podcast.
“As someone obsessed with the fact that I’m afraid of my comments every day, I’m afraid of my DMS. I don’t want to be the trigger,” she told listeners.
Nicole, 33, admitted that she doesn’t enjoy reading the troublesome things she says about her with her bait.
“I don’t want to worry, I don’t want to see it,” she said.
After that, Nicole joked that anyone who has rude things should express herself in her own posts, not elsewhere on the internet, so she can get more engagement.
“If you’re going to do that, do it (in the comments) so I can pay the bill around here,” she said. “Especially if it’s a brand post. I’ll be honest, I’ll go to them.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Nicole pointed out that her current online presence is not positive.
“I’m like a god. If someone were to Google me, they’d think I’m the crazy person right now,” she said.
Nicole also said this year was “not the easiest.”
“I can … experience adversity, experience major changes in your life, and experience misunderstandings among the general public,” she said.
Nicole made headlines when Swift appeared to be discentivizing content creators on his “The Life of a Showgirl” album, which debuted last Friday.
Swift’s song “Opalite” is a song dedicated to her love for Kelce, but the singer is particularly working on one of his exes in a less subtle way.
“You couldn’t understand that, why did you feel lonely, you were there for the truth, she was on her phone / and you were just a pose,” the lyrics read in part.
Fans begged to “get off your phone” for an old video of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end as Nicole went out for dinner together.
The nasty exchange led listeners to believe that Swift’s words were directed at Nicole. Nicole dated Kelce on and off for five years before breaking up in 2022.
Nicole seemed to respond to Swift’s musical tiny by suggesting to her Instagram followers that she would not compare herself to other women.
Kelse, 36, moved from 35-year-old Swift and Nicole in the summer of 2023. He and the pop star got engaged two years later.
