Travis Kelce sparked a social media storm Monday night when he strutted into Arrowhead Stadium wearing head-to-toe orange. This is clearly a reference to her fiancée Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, arrived at his team’s primetime game against the Washington Commanders wearing a printed denim shirt by Fendi and matching denim jeans. Both products are already sold out.
The burnt orange ensemble featured distressed details and gradient washes, and fans were quick to dub it the “Orange Dreamsicle” in the Instagram comments.
Kelsey accessorized her showgirl-inspired look with Christian Louboutin Louis high-top sneakers ($995), a Louis Vuitton LV dog pendant, a Palm Tree Crew Diamond Edition pendant ($3,650, currently sold out), and Marni Edoku sunglasses ($285).
He completed the outfit with his signature swagger and white T-shirt.
The Chiefs’ official Instagram account captured the moment, posting a photo of Kelce with the caption, “Orange, happy @killatrav is here?!”
Fans immediately associated the outfit with Swift’s 12th studio album, which was released on October 3rd, and whose signature color was orange. “That’s the life of a showgirl baby,” one commenter wrote.
Others winked at the suggestive Kelsea-inspired track “Wood,” which includes the lyrics, “Sequoia trees, it’s not hard to see / His love was the key to open my thighs.”
One person wrote, “Sequoia tree in the building!!! 🔥,” while another commented, “Mr. Sequoia’s life 🌴.”
A third summed up the collective sentiment: “We love Brand King 👑🫰❤️🔥.”
Kelsey’s younger brother Jason also couldn’t help but weigh in. During ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast, the former Philadelphia Eagles center joked about his brother’s condition, saying, “I guess he figured out the bleach in the laundry. One of his shirts today has it soaked in it.”
Swift, 35, revealed the symbolic meaning behind the album’s bright colors during an August appearance on the Kels Brothers’ New Heights podcast. When Jason asked why she chose orange, the Grammy winner explained that it reflected how “energized, exciting, and vibrant” her life was during the Elas tour.
“I’ve always loved you, Jason,” Swift said. “It’s kind of an energetic feeling of how my life felt. And this album is about what was going on behind the scenes inside me during this (Eras) tour.”
Swift was spotted at Monday’s game despite not taking a tunnel walk this season.
The pop star wore a red turtleneck sweater ($550) and vinyl miniskirt ($650) by Courrèges as she cheered on her fiance from her suite alongside Chiefs WAG quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes.
Kelce has made game day fashion a romantic tribute this season. Earlier this month, ahead of the Chiefs’ game against the Detroit Lions, he wore a plaid Louis Vuitton look that was almost a mirror image of the print Swift wore to dinner a few days earlier.
The couple announced their engagement in August, just months after Swift’s record-breaking Elas tour ended after nearly two years of performances. Kelsea celebrated her 36th birthday with Swift at the official release party for Life of a Showgirl earlier this month.
