Well, “Landman” fans, a lot happened in this episode. TL (Sam Elliott) punches a man who disrespected his wife. Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) discovers that the man she’s been dating is one of her subordinates. And Cami (Demi Moore) doesn’t seem to trust Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) at all anymore. Power dynamics are changing rapidly. Let’s move on to the episode.
Why does Tommy always have to drive 3 hours, have a meeting, then drive 3 hours back? Could Zoom save him travel time? Dodging the question is a smart move, Dale (James Jordan)! Oh, Nate (Colm Feore) is so annoying! Feel free to enjoy Mexican food! Good Dale, ignoring the high tech salesmen selling you equipment means good people getting fired. Anyway, you get bonus points for receiving goodies and free gifts! Oh, it’s cute that the boss (Mustafa speaks) is the wife’s man. Smart man! Boo…defeat the robot! Tommy, please Google the price of a wedding ring for Cooper (Jacob Lofland). That would have saved you in the end! Hmm, Ainsley (Michelle Randolph)…that’s a lame transphobic joke. Please try harder, we are rooting for you! Shout out Angela’s (Ali Larter) selflessness with the ring. that’s nice! “Diamonds are in Dallas.” That’s what I always say! TL’s “monkey on a runaway dog” analogy is spot on. Oh, look at these two sticks laughing at each other in the mud. fun! Would you like to discuss more about “American Gulf”? Taylor Sheridan clearly has some feelings about Trump’s renaming of the area. Does anyone really understand the business talk on this show? I have never felt so stupid. Sounds complicated, so I hope you’re all right. Nate, make Rebecca your boss! I have no interest in your dignity. What a long and ominous horse name! I think they named them “Domino” or something… Tommy really ended a fun day between Garino (Andy Garcia) and Kami. In fact, Garino is so sensible that I believe him now…what drug money? he’s beautiful! Wow! Rebecca must work with Charlie (Guy Barnett), a passionate geologist/ex-cheating/double entender, on this project. The chemistry is already great and he’s so flirtatious…give me more! Damn, Cami still reigns supreme over Tommy. He had little to do with this negotiation…maybe she’ll fire him from M-Tex eventually? I loved seeing TL punch Nash (Robert Morgan). Sure, TL did some awful things, but it’s fun to see Elliot get in on the action. Let’s win Elliott an Emmy! This scene is very sad. This was another well-photographed moment, with Tommy and TL mostly in the shadows. There are lots of metaphors! My new life goal is to go on crazy shopping sprees with Angela and Ainsley. Good anger/hot makeup. Oh, and Cooper is working hard with Ariana (Paulina Chavez)!
