The black hat worn by Margaret Hamilton in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ is one of the few items to go up for auction next month.

Heritage Auctions will hold its second annual “Wizard of Oz” themed auction from December 9th to 10th as part of its Hollywood & Entertainment Signature Auctions in Dallas. This year’s auction, titled “Return to Oz,” will also include Dorothy’s blue dress worn by Judy Garland, a handwritten letter from “Oz” novelist Frank L. Baum, copies of the book signed by the entire cast, and memorabilia from Victor Fleming’s seminal 1939 fantasy film.

Last year, at Eltiage’s first “Wizard of Oz” auction, a pair of ruby slippers from the movie sold for $32.5 million, setting a new record for the highest price ever paid for Hollywood memorabilia.

“The Steak,” “NMBR 1 FN,” “Hedgehog Hunt,” “Scenario,” and “The Deuce, The Greatest” won awards at the Lee Strasberg Film Festival in West Hollywood, California.

Winning films were recognized for their authenticity, artistry, and performance-driven storytelling.

The Best Short Film Award went to Kiaras Dudgar’s The Steak, the Alumni Short Award went to Rudy Weimer’s NMBR 1 FN, the Best Feature Film Award went to Mihaly Švechche’s The Hedgehog Hunt, the Fest Award went to Kazunori Miura’s Scenario, and the Best Documentary Feature Award went to Sonia Bergamasco’s The Deuce, The Greatest.

The Lee Strasberg Film Festival opened with the Italian documentary feature “Duse, The Greatest,” followed by an in-depth discussion of Eleonora Duse. The program also included the short film “Scenario” (Japan) about the impact of AI on the future of humanity.

“Between the Mountain and the Sky” will be available for free for a limited time

“Between the Mountain and the Sky” will be available for free on the movie website for a limited time from November 11th.

The documentary, directed by Jeremy Power Regimbal, follows 2015 CNN Heroes of the Year Maggie Doyne and Tope Mara over the 20 years they spent building homes, schools, and families for more than 50 orphans in Nepal.

“We’re rolling it out the old-fashioned way: a DA Pennebaker-style roadshow in the back of a van, direct to the public,” executive producer Mark Duplass said in a statement. “Forget the gatekeepers. ‘Between the Mountains and the Sky’ is online, pay what you want, and there are no barriers. This is indie filmmaking as it should be: gritty, human, and a little punk rock.”

This free release marks the next step in the team’s commitment to accessibility and creative independence. Between Mountains and Sky has been screened at over 40 film festivals around the world and won over 30 international awards.

The film is produced by Duplas Brothers Productions and MPWR Content.
