According to TMZ, Corey Parker, who had a versatile career in film, television, and coaching young actors, has passed away. He was 60 years old.

His family tells TMZ that he passed away in Memphis, Tennessee, on Thursday after a battle with cancer.

Parker began his career in the mid-1980s, landing the role of Pete in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985), a performance that established him in the horror genre. She then appeared in Kim Basinger’s romantic drama “9 1/2 Weeks” (1986).

In 1992, he became widely known for his role as Neil Barash in the comedy Flying Blind, in which he co-starred with Tea Leoni, playing the role of an awkward college graduate navigating love with a free-spirited character. The series, which lasted one season, also featured guest appearances by Lisa Kudrow, Peter Boyle, Andy Dick, and Noah Emmerich.

Television viewers will also remember Parker for his role as Josh, one of Grace’s boyfriends, on “Will & Grace,” where he appeared in five episodes of the hit NBC series. His other screen credits include “Biloxi Blues,” “White Palace,” “Love Boat: The Next Wave,” “Nashville” and “Blue Skies.”

Later in his career, Parker turned to coaching, helping actors hone their craft on shows like “Sun Records” and “Ms. Marvel,” leaving a lasting impact behind the camera.

Parker grew up in a creative household. Her mother, Rocky Parker, who married Patrick Dempsey in the late 1980s, and her sister, Noelle, were both actors.

Known for his on-screen charm and dedication to inspiring young performers off-screen, Parker is remembered by colleagues and fans for his warmth, humor, and lasting impact on the entertainment community.
