“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is set to resume production after it was put on hold following a domestic violence investigation involving cast members Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortensen.
Hulu confirmed to Deadline that the reality show will resume production for season 5, but did not provide any other details.
Representatives for Hulu could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
Paul made headlines last month after he temporarily halted filming on Season 5 of SLOMW as he was being investigated for domestic violence against Mortensen.
Just days later, Paul’s upcoming season of The Bachelorette was canceled by ABC after a disturbing video of a domestic violence incident between Paul and his ex-girlfriend was leaked.
In the 2023 footage, she attacks Mortensen with a chair in front of her now 8-year-old daughter Indi.
Then, on March 25, it was revealed that Paul was the subject of a third domestic violence investigation led by the West Jordan Police Department, in addition to two ongoing investigations by the Draper, Utah Police Department.
Although recent charges against Paul were dropped, she is still embroiled in a bitter custody battle with Mortensen, 33, after he filed for a protection order against her in court.
Mortensen was granted temporary custody of her 2-year-old son, Ever.
Sources reportedly told TMZ earlier this month that other stars of the hit reality show had “resolved” their concerns about filming following the headline-grabbing alleged altercation and were ready to film again.
Cast members at the time reportedly expected production to resume “within a few weeks” and urged Hulu chiefs to start production as soon as possible so production delays would not affect summer plans.
