The fifth season signed a first-looking film and television deal with “Longshot” director Jonathan Levine and Gillian Bohler’s Megamix.

The deal marks the continued studio partnership with Levine, who produced and directed both seasons of the Nicole Kidman Full car.

“Jonathan is a versatile creator and producer with proven success in film and television. The partnership between Jonathan and Gillian is based on recent fruitful collaborations.

Added the film’s president, Christopher Slager: “And I’m just a fan.”

Director Writer Producer Levine is best known for directing the comedy films “Longshot,” “50/50” and “The Night Begione,” starring Seth Rogen. The filmmaker made his debut as a 2008 debut as a feature written and directed in “The Wackness,” starring Ben Kingsley and Josh Peck. He also directed the zombie romance “Warm Body” and produced “Mike and Dave Nees’ Wedding Dates” starring Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick. On the TV side, director Levine and the executive produced “Tell Me Lies” and served as the EP for “The Sticky.”

Levine contributes to the vast film and television slate of the fifth season. The company’s upcoming projects include Ben Affleck’s “Animals,” Jason Momoa’s “War Chief,” Jessica Chastain’s “Savant,” Rose Byrne and Megan Fahey’s “Good Daughter,” and Apple TV+’s “East of Eden” adaptations with Florence Pew and Mike Feist.

“I really enjoyed working with Noah on ‘9 Perfect Strangers’,” Levine said. “He has an incredible taste, is a true advocate for filmmakers and his vibe is pure white. I knew I had to continue working with him. When Chris and I met Chris and the film team, we knew this had to be official.

Megamix recently wrapped up production in the sports drama “Mr. Illerevant,” starring David Corenswet, Michael Shannon and Isabel May. Levine will also direct Charlize Theron and Channing Tatum with “Dance Parents.”

Before joining Megamix, Bowler was a senior executive at Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate, helping to oversee “Lalaland,” “Twilight Saga,” “Wonder,” and “Permissions of Being a Wallflower.”

Levine is represented by WME and Goodman, Jennaugh, Schenkmann, Smelkinson & Christopher.
