If you have it, flaunt it.
Teyana Taylor made waves at Thursday night’s Time 100 Next 2025 event, walking the red carpet in a bold sheer dress from Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford Spring 2026 collection.
More of a skirt than a gown, the look, which just walked the runway last month, was held together by a single thin strap that ran down the center of Taylor’s torso and wrapped around her neck, resembling an upside-down G-string.
Taylor’s actual thong peeked out through the see-through fabric and above the low-slung skirt.
On top of that, the performer wore a black blazer that was left open to show off her amazing abs.
Taylor has recently been traveling around the world promoting her latest project, Hulu’s “All’s Fair.”
She’s always been creative with her outfits for every appearance, but last night’s look was her most revealing yet.
It’s as if the “naked dresses” that took over the red carpets of the 2010s (dresses with strategically placed embellishments and toe-to-toe mesh) have recently been replaced by next-level alternatives.
But Taylor isn’t the only model to wear a full-body thong on the red carpet.
Earlier this week, Ella Emhoff attended the WSJ Innovators Awards wearing a barely-there lace Hertha dress, Sydney Sweeney appeared on the red carpet at Variety’s Power of Women event in a sheer, shimmering Christian Cowan corset dress, and Kristen Stewart chose a Lea Costa see-through lace look for the Los Angeles premiere.
And don’t expect Dakota Johnson, perhaps the trend’s biggest fan, to be pulling out the bold dresses anytime soon.
Asked about criticism of her signature revealing style, Johnson told Vogue Germany: “I don’t really care…If I find a beautiful dress that’s comfortable, of course I’ll wear it!”
