Teddi Mellencamp, who is battling stage 4 cancer, is clearly “fighting.”
The daughter of famed musician John Mellencamp has given fans an update on her health after her father made concerning comments about her “suffering.”
“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy, a lot of rest, a lot of hanging out with my family,” Teddi, 44, said Thursday on her and Tamra Judge’s “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast after months of hiatus.
“Apparently, I was battling severe PTSD from everything that happened and I tried a lot to pick myself up. And I wasn’t really aware of it.”
The 58-year-old judge noted that the “one-year anniversary” of Teddy’s diagnosis is coming up on February 12, while recalling that a friend experienced “terrible headaches” at the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans.
“It’s been really crazy,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum admitted, adding that “the clouds are lifting” and “I’m starting to feel a little better.”
On Wednesday, John, who was discussing end-of-life plans with Teddi, appeared on the podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” and said she was “really sick.”
“It’s not fun at all,” the singer-songwriter lamented. “She has cancer in her brain and is suffering right now.”
He tells Logan about Teddy’s growth, saying that she relied on him for everything.
“He would call me and say, ‘Teddy, you don’t have to ask me what it is, you can figure it out…just figure it out for yourself,'” he recalled, bursting into laughter. “‘You don’t need to hear everything.'”
Teddi has praised the Grammy winner amid his own medical issues, previously claiming he “wouldn’t be able to” do so much without him – “and not just for financial reasons.”
Teddy was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in October 2022. She underwent more than a dozen skin surgeries and received a medical certificate in January 2024.
However, in February 2025, the former Bravolebrities underwent emergency brain surgery after doctors discovered “multiple tumors.”
During the surgery, “more tumor was removed than expected.”
The following month, Teddy announced that doctors also found several tumors in her brain and lungs.
Initially, she was told she had a 50% chance of survival, but in April 2025 she gave fans an “exciting” update, revealing that her tumor had “significantly shrunk” following immunotherapy treatment.
