Taylor Swift starts the week with exciting news on Good Morning America!
On Monday, October 13, it was revealed that the 35-year-old “Oparite” hitmaker is releasing two new projects on Disney+ related to the Elas Tour.
The first film is “The End of an Era,” a six-part documentary about “the developments, influences, and inner workings that created the phenomenon of The Eras Tour,” according to a press release. The project is “an in-depth look at Taylor’s life at a time when her tours made headlines and excited fans around the world.” The first two episodes will premiere on Disney+ on December 12th. Two new episodes are released every week.
Also on December 12th, Swift will premiere Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show. This is a live recording of the final performance of the Elas Tour, which took place on December 8, 2024 at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada.
The filmed concert includes performance footage from her album The Tortured Poets Division. This era was not included in the first concert footage of the Elas tour, as the album had not yet been released.

“She’s at it again. Taylor Swift broke records with the biggest debut album of all time selling over 4 million copies. And now, tomorrow morning, GMA has another big exclusive announcement about Taylor. So what’s next for her? Find out on Good Morning America,” the Sunday, Oct. 12 morning show teased in a video from X.
Her big announcement comes shortly after she released her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3rd. Swift paired this release with a special experience at AMC movie theaters: the official Showgirls release party.
Swifties who attended the screening were able to see for the first time the lyric videos for each song on the album, as well as the music video for the album’s first song, “The Fate of Ophelia.”
The album broke records before and after its release, becoming the most streamed album in a single day on Spotify on October 3rd of this year.

Fans are still eagerly awaiting her self-titled first album and 2017’s Reputation’s “Taylor’s Version” and its “Vault” track.
The pop titan began re-recording her first six albums after Scooter Braun bought her masters in 2019, releasing them along with unreleased songs from her “vault.”
Swift then regained control of her masters in May 2025, leaving the fate of her final two albums in doubt.

“I know, I know. What about Rep TV? Full transparency. I haven’t re-recorded a quarter of it. The ‘Reputation’ album was specific to that time in my life, and trying to remake it hit many stopping points. That sense of defiance, that desire to be understood while feeling intentionally misunderstood, that desperate hope, that growl and mischievousness born of shame,” she told fans in a statement shared on her social media accounts at the time.
He went on to write, “Honestly, this album is the only one out of the first six albums that I didn’t think could be improved by starting over. It’s not the music, it’s not the photos, it’s not the video. So I’ve been putting it off for a while. (If you’re interested in that idea) There will come a time when unreleased vault tracks from that album will hatch.”
“I’ve already completely re-recorded my entire debut album and I really like the way it sounds now. Those two albums could still come back when the time is right, if that’s something you’re excited about. But if it happens, it won’t be out of sadness or longing for what I wish I had. It’s just going to be a celebration right now,” Swift said.

The moment Swift’s big GMA announcement was first teased, some fans speculated that the hitmaker would announce plans for a tour. But they may be waiting a while until she gets back on the road.
On October 3, the album’s release date, Swift gave an interview to BBC Radio 1 to promote her new album and revealed that she had no immediate plans to go on tour. The revelation comes less than a year after her massive Eras tour ended.
Swift wrapped up her record-setting show in December 2024 with over $2 billion in ticket sales. The hitmaker, who performed his final show, described the experience as “the most thrilling chapter of my life so far.”
Ten months later, she reflected on the experience, telling BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James that it had been a “huge honour” and credited her fans for making the show “beyond our expectations”.
“We knew what was going on, it was crazy. We’d never had anything like that happen. I’ve been with the band for so long. My touring, my crew, my touring family, my team… We’re all so close, we’ve been going forever, but nothing like that had ever happened to any of us,” she recalled.
Despite the great experience, Swift made it clear to James, 39, that she wasn’t ready to join another tour anytime soon.
“I’m going to be really honest with you. It’s very tiring to want to do it again, because I want to do it really well again,” she explained, adding, “I’m feeling great right now.”
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelsey
Life of a Showgirl may have just been released, but Swift is already planning another big project – her wedding to Travis Kelsey.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2025, but during an Oct. 9 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, they hinted that they were planning to focus on their plans now that the album campaign is winding down.
“As we’re coming to the end of release week, I feel like it’s time to start thinking about this,” she told host Seth Meyers. Seth Meyers raised two concerns and shared some wisdom with the bride.
Although it’s still in the early stages of planning, Swift and Kelsey may have someone very famous to officiate their wedding. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol host asked the two to marry him.

An exclusive source also recently told PEOPLE that Swift is looking forward to the next stage of her life.
“She’s been very focused on her work. She’s not kidding when she says she’s exhausted. She’s ready to take some time off so she can focus on the wedding,” the source explained, adding, “She’s very excited about the wedding planning.”
Swift is using some of her newfound free time to support Kelce. On Sunday, October 12th, she returned to Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs in their latest game, a 30-17 win. She was photographed at a game against the Detroit Lions with Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, and WNBA star and Chiefs fan Caitlin Clark.
