Ashlyn Harris is turning 40!
On Monday, October 20th, the retired soccer player celebrated a milestone birthday with girlfriend Sophia Bush, 43.
In a carousel of photos they shared on Instagram in a joint post, Harris and Bush appeared in great spirits as they smiled among a crowd of friends at the party. In one photo, the former athlete is seen holding a large cake while Mr. Bush leans on her shoulder, and in another, the two are kissing. Another image showed DJ Samantha Ronson on the decks as Harris blew out the candles on a sprinkle-covered cake.

“40. A number more like a mirror than a milestone. A reflection of everything I’ve built, loved, lost, and become. I’ve learned that wisdom isn’t loud…” Harris wrote in the caption alongside the image.
“It’s quiet, steady, and full of grace. I’m deeply grateful for the love that fills my life. After all, that’s what it’s all about.”

She also thanked her girlfriend for “loving me as much as you do, for giving me the most amazing birthday and for reminding me of what home feels like.”
“Every time a baby is born, you’ll find yourself. But I’m grateful that this one will be by your side,” she added. “Charging 40 like dropping into a halfpipe. YWWWWWW! Forever grateful @wildcaptives 🙏🏼-AH24.”
Harris also shared a snap of herself and Bush kissing on her Instagram Stories, with the caption: “Still can’t get over this weekend. I love you, baby.”
Bush later reposted the photo to his Instagram Stories with three love heart emojis. She also reshared a video of Harris blowing out her birthday candles.

Bush and Harris first met in 2019 and have been dating since October 2023. Back in May, Bush celebrated her partner on Mother’s Day on social media.
On May 11, she posted a carousel of photos on her Instagram account celebrating her daughter Sloane, 4, and son Ocean, 2, whom she shares with her soccer star girlfriend and ex-wife Ali Krieger.
“Today and every day in awe of your mother, you are @ashlynharris24. You are a gift. To them. To me. To everyone lucky enough to be loved by you,” Bush sweetly wrote in the caption.
“I’ve never known anyone as magical as you. I think that says a lot because my life is full of truly incredibly magical people. Happiest day, angel. Thank you for being you 💖.”
