As viewers speculated, Biles admitted in the comments that she had lower blepharoplasty to address noticeable bags under her eyes and had her earlobe repaired from an earring accident when she was younger. She also hinted at having breast implants with a cherry emoji.
Speculation about Biles’ breast augmentation is not new. In October, she posted a video to her Instagram Story of herself doing a flip in her new home for the first time in over a year. In the caption, she called out “New 🍒” and hinted at a possible boob job with a cherry emoji. Meanwhile, fans were already wondering after she posted a swimsuit photo from her vacation in Belize with husband Jonathan Owens.
In an interview with Elle last year, Biles talked about her beauty practice and her journey towards self-acceptance. She reflected on years of public criticism about her hair and how she reached a place of greater confidence. “I’m finally learning to love my hair, my texture, and the styles I can do,” she said.
The athlete said, “Before, I was worried that people would think I wasn’t professional (with my hair). But I’m not embarrassed anymore.”
Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, also spoke about the importance of taking care of your mental health as an athlete who is often judged on and off the mat. “I go to therapy every week to get everything adjusted and feel comfortable and confident to compete,” she said. “It was an important part of my training plan.”
