Sidney Sweeney brought her bold fall look to the streets of New York City this morning. The actress was photographed leaving the Good Morning America studio wearing a Sportmax beige leather trench jacket styled like a minidress.
The structured jacket featured a pointed collar, button-down front, and a matching belt that cinched the waist. Sweeney paired the piece with nude knee-high boots and a brown Miu Miu bag. She completed her look with aviator sunglasses and the new short blonde bob she debuted last month.
Sweeney was in New York to promote his new movie “Christie,” in which he plays professional boxer Christy Martin. During an appearance on GMA, the actress said that Martin himself was on set. “It was so much fun having her there, especially during the fight scenes,” Sweeney said. “I heard her under the ring saying, ‘Get that left hook!'”
She also talked about what drew her to the project in the first place. “She (Martin) was a professional boxer who came up at a time when women were unpopular in sports,” Sweeney explained. “She unfortunately ended up marrying a much older trainer who manipulated her and became a victim of domestic violence. And when she tried to leave him for the love of her life, he stopped her.”
Sweeney added that he was deeply invested in bringing Martin’s story to the screen from the beginning. “The first time I got on Zoom with the director, I remember saying, ‘I don’t care, I want to produce this. I just want to be a part of telling her story and hopefully open the door for other people. It’s incredible.'”
The Euphoria star’s latest appearance follows some standout fashion moments at the press tour. She wore a custom Miu Miu pink dress to AFI FEST in Los Angeles on October 26th. A few days later, she attended Variety’s Power of Women gala wearing a sheer silver dress.
