Last weekend, we take a glimpse of Sydney Sweeney’s photos from her space-themed birthday party, and millennials around the world will be back in 2008.
Sweeney’s star-studded silver mini dress is stunned by itself, but that’s a throwback to Britney Spears’ circus album ERA.
The look in question was part of the Blonde Spring/Summer 2009 collection, featuring an over-the-top appeal that incorporates elements such as corsets, sparkles, spikes and intricate decorations.
The design duo has been spending quite a week. They also made headlines with Taylor Swift wearing a velvet bodysuit in the promotion of “Crowds are Your King” and “Showgirl’s Life” vinyl release, which won the target.
Sweeney’s shoes were from Italian shoe designer Rene Kaobira.
Molly Dixon, a 28th birthday girl, styled and took her to Instagram to share a carousel of the party’s photos, captioning “Welcome to Planet Syd.”
The first photo is doubled in Spears’ recreation, sitting on one hip and pushing her foot under her in the same pose as the original.
The next event is a spectacular star-studded event where everyone from aliens to astronauts wears space-themed costumes.
Guests included Wiz Khalifa, Diplo, Glenn Powell and Lauren Sanchez Bezos.
This theme appeared to be at the point on a birthday trip to Utah a few weeks ago. There, she called the place a “small trip to Mars” on social media.
Spears herself wasn’t present, but her nod to her early style was truly out of this world.
