Sean “Diddy” Combs is scheduled to be released from prison a month and a half early amid an appeal battle against his four-year sentence.

Combs’ release date has been pushed back from June 4, 2028 to April 25, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

This was announced after Combs was admitted to a substance abuse rehabilitation program in November, which could help reduce his sentence.

“Mr. Combs is an active participant in the Residential Substance Abuse Program (RDAP) and has been committed to the rehabilitation process from the beginning. He is fully committed to his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change,” Diddy’s rep said in a statement when the rapper accepted to appear on the show.

Lawyers and representatives for Diddy did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

This isn’t the first time Comms’ release date has changed. The music executive, who is serving his sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey, had his sentence extended in November 2025, originally from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028.

The ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker’s sentencing has been adjusted to November 2025 after he allegedly broke multiple prison rules.

TMZ reported that same month that Combs got into “trouble with prison officials” after consuming “homemade alcohol.”

CBS News reported that Combs was arrested again on suspicion of participating in a prohibited three-way phone call.

The disgraced music mogul claimed he did not know that “third party or three-way calls are not allowed.”

His attorney denied that the “procedural summons” was “inappropriate” and defended it as “protected by attorney-client privilege.”

The new release date comes as Combs filed an appeal in December of his four-year sentence.

His lawyers asked for his immediate release and for his conviction to be vacated or his sentence to be commuted, according to appeals court documents.

In court papers, Mr. Combs argued that prosecutors failed to prove the case against him, while his lawyers argued that the judge in the case handed down a harsh sentence that violated his constitutional rights.

Prosecutors opposed the appeal request in February.

Combs has been in prison since his arrest in September 2024.

He was charged with racketeering conspiracy. Sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution by force, fraud, or coercion.

Combs was found guilty after a two-month trial of two counts of transportation for prostitution and was acquitted of other charges.
