Scholastic’s 9 Story Media Group has partnered with Future Today to launch the publisher’s first streaming app.
The app offers over 400 hours of content from the Scholastic Library, including the Nostalgic series, including Big Red Dog, Magic School Bus, Goose Bumps, Babysitters Club, Animalfe, Garfield, and Bernie & Friends.
Previously supported Streamer via Today, which was collaborating with iconic children’s brands such as Moonbug, Lego and Chuck E Cheese, Scholastic App aims to provide children and their families with safe, reliable and familiar content.
Scholastic invested in the nine-storey last year, and the streaming app is part of a strategic partnership to reach a wider child audience across various forms of media.
Scholastic Streamer is available for download on Roku and Amazon Fire TV and features children’s and family shows based on the publisher’s beloved IP.
“We see strong demand for quality nostalgic content, and academic brands are trusted by families everywhere,” said Elianne Friend, Vice President of Digital and Distribution for the nine-story. “Today’s future was an ideal partner to help bring Scholastic’s beloved stories to new audiences. We are excited to build this momentum and continue to expand Scholastic Entertainment’s incredible catalogue across the global streaming platform.”
David Di Lorenzo, today’s senior vice president of future children and families, added: “The Scholastic Book and Programme have been the cornerstone of childhood for generations, bringing the characters and lessons we will be staying with.
