“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Nneka Ihim gave fans an update on her swaying in the wind as she battled Hurricane Melissa from her balcony.
Ihim, who is vacationing in Montego Bay, posted on Instagram on Tuesday wearing a black Aro crop top and matching shorts as the wind gusted.
“Hey guys, I’m just doing a quick follow-up,” she shared while standing on her hotel balcony, adding, “A lot of people have messaged me and asked me why I’m still in Jamaica.”
Ihim went on to explain that when they “heard a storm was coming,” she and her group “tried to leave as soon as possible, but the country of Jamaica closed its airport.”
“So it’s not the airlines, it’s not American Airlines, it’s not United Airlines, it’s not Delta Air Lines. The country closed the airport two days ago,” she added, gripping the balcony railing.
“The weather was perfect, the sky was clear and the water on the beach was blue,” Ihim revealed.
“The weather has been perfect for the last two days. It was perfect weather to fly, and I still don’t even know why the airport was closed.”
Ihim said the hotels and resorts where he was staying were “very accommodating.”
“They took care of us and did their best to accommodate us. They are doing very well,” Ihim said.
“They try to distract us from what’s going on outside by playing music and playing games, but I’m not here by choice.”
Ihim, who appeared on the Bravo series in Season 8 from 2023 to 2024, said the resort “did its best to continue to provide us with food and water.”
Bravolebrity, clutching her athletic visor as the hurricane-force winds continued, said, “Since the country has closed the airport, I hope to leave by Thursday. Please look forward to the next report.”
RHOP alum Candace Dillard Bassett also offered supportive comments.
“Thank God for the resort’s response! I hope you come back safely!!!,” she wrote.
The others were alarmed to see Ihim standing outside in such unstable weather. One follower urged, “Nneka please come inside 😩😩😩,” while another wrote, “Girl, come inside!”
“Pack your bags and go home 🙃🥹,” said a third, while a fourth chimed in: “Oh and stay safe ❤️.”
On the Saturday before the storm, Ihim took to Instagram to share a sweet vacation photo with baby Noah, whom she and her husband, Dr. Ikenna Ihim, welcomed in May.
“Holidaying with my honey is my new favorite hobby ♥️,” Nneka wrote alongside a photo of herself rocking a bikini and holding her baby on the beach.
