Cheers to a new beginning.
Prince William and his wife Kate celebrated their move to Forest Lodge in England’s Windsor Great Park with a private pub party.
A source told the Daily Mail: “The couple just wanted to thank everyone for their dedication and support.”
The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, dined at a members’ club for residents and employees of the Crown Estate, which manages much of the site, and thanked the builders and staff for completing their home ahead of schedule.
Middleton and William had originally planned to settle into their new home by Christmas, but construction was completed ahead of schedule.
Page Six reached out to Kensington Palace for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
In July, it was reported that Middleton and Prince William, who have children Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7), were ready to move out of their Adelaide Cottage because their home had “outgrown” them.
A source told the US Sun that the family chose to relocate to forget Middleton’s cancer diagnosis in March 2024.
“Moving gives them a chance to start anew and open a new chapter. It gives them a chance to leave some of their more unfortunate memories behind,” a source close to the mother-of-three, who has since gone into remission, told The Sun.
In September, news surfaced that the couple had made extensive security upgrades to their new “forever” home due to privacy concerns.
The Mirror reports that the Welsh couple planted new trees and hedges around the eight-bedroom property, worth $21 million, and also installed a fence to protect it from public view.
The future royal couple reportedly paid for the renovations themselves to avoid adding to the burden on taxpayers.
