“Pop Culture Crisis!” has been renewed for season 2 and moved from Amazon Prime Video to Netflix. Colin Jost is in talks to return as host for a second season of the spin-off quiz show, scheduled for sometime in 2026.
Prime Video has changed its game show strategy and reached a mutual decision with Sony Pictures Television regarding shopping for “Pop Culture Jeopardy!,” sources said. To other distributors.
A twist on the classic “answers and questions” trivia format, “Pop Culture Jeopardy!” pits participants against each other in tournament-style knowledge battles on movies, music, television, and other categories.
“‘Pop Culture Crisis!’ captivated audiences with fun, energetic gameplay, expanded on a beloved series, and provided fans with an opportunity to test their knowledge of the zeitgeist,” said Suzanne Plate, president of game programming at Sony Pictures Television. “We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the exemplary team at Netflix to bring even more episodes to our passionate and loyal audience.”

The series debuted in December 2024 and aired its Season 1 finale in March, with the Personality Hire team (Emily Hogg, Zach Gozlan, and Miranda Onen) taking home the $300,000 first prize.
“Pop Culture Crisis!” is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Michael Davis will serve as executive producer.
The show comes during the 41st season of Jeopardy!, the long-running trivia show made popular by Alex Trebek and now hosted by former winner Ken Jennings. This show is currently airing season 42.
