Photos of late actress Kayley Hottle’s tragic car crash show severe damage to the front of the car.
The “Godzilla vs. Kong” star died early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in a fatal traffic accident in Maryland. she was 18 years old.
His 1995 Honda Accord Hottle was completely destroyed after the car crash, as seen in photos obtained by TMZ. The car was seen being towed, and the car’s hood was smashed and caved in, showing severe damage.
The tire hubcaps were also removed, and the passenger side door was left open.
Maryland’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Wednesday that Hottle died of “blunt force injuries” and her death was ruled an accident.
The child actor was one of two passengers involved in the fatal crash, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release Tuesday.
Police said the 19-year-old was driving a 1995 Honda Accord when the vehicle “veered off the right side of a two-lane roadway and struck a culvert.”
“Excessive speed is believed to have contributed to the collision,” they said in a statement.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but the other passenger refused medical assistance.
Hottle was taken to a local trauma center, where he was later pronounced dead.
More heartbreaking details have emerged about the fatal Frederick County sheriff’s crash, with audio of the fire and emergency response obtained by Page Six. First responders who arrived at the scene asked for help finding someone who knew sign language or had access to an interpreter app to communicate with Hottle, who is deaf.
When paramedics responded to the accident, dispatch audio showed Hottle to be “unconscious.”
The actress’ father, Joshua Hottle, who is also deaf, announced her death in a tearful Facebook livestream on Tuesday.
Joshua later told ASL’s TMZ that he was in Texas when he received a call from authorities about a car accident, and signed off that he received a follow-up call saying his daughter’s heart had stopped on the way to the hospital.
He then had to fly to Maryland to retrieve her body.
