A spin-off of “The Secret of a Mormon Wife” has been announced.
Hulu announced Wednesday that “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,” starring “Really Good Podcast” host Bobby Althoff and other influencers, will be coming to the streaming platform later this year.
The “new group of dynamic young mothers” also includes Aspin Overd, Avery Woods, Salome Andrea, McCall Dapron, Chandler Higginson, Ashley Pease and Madison Fisher (née Bontempo).
Dapron, especially the younger sister of original “SLOMW” star Macy Neely, told her followers on Wednesday that she was “keeping a secret.”
Neely, 31, has appeared on four seasons of SLOMW alongside Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Leila Taylor, Demi Engeman, Jesse Draper, Mikayla Matthews and Miranda McWhorter.
For the new group of women in the series, their “belief is more than just a religion, it’s an identity,” a press release on Wednesday said.
“For some, it fights against modernity and protects their way of life, while for others it becomes a platform to embrace change and challenge the status quo.”
“As this powerful, game-changing and influential group unites to build an answer to #MomTok, scandals and secrets are revealed, facades crumble, and families and friendships are forever changed on both sides of the battlefield.”
Althoff gushed about the news on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, calling it a “really good reality show.”
The 28-year-old started posting on TikTok in 2021 and launched her podcast two years later. In 2023, her interview with Drake became a hot topic online over dating rumors, which she has since denied.
Bobby then divorced her husband Corey Althoff, with whom she had two daughters, and continued to work with athletes Sean Murphy Bunting and Ty Hawkins.
Obard made headlines in 2024 when she filed for divorce from Parker Ferris on the same day she announced the birth of her third child.
She celebrated the “next chapter” on Instagram on Wednesday, exclaiming, “After 15 years with you all, now we’ll be appearing on Hulu in 2026!!!!!!!!!”
As for Fisher, Pease, Higginson, Andrea and Woods, their co-stars are all influential people who have documented their families’ lives on social media for years.
News of the spinoff comes shortly after SLOMW halted filming for Season 5 as Paul and Dakota Mortensen were investigated for domestic violence.
After news broke that no new charges would be filed against Paul, Page Six confirmed on Monday that filming on the show is scheduled to resume.
