The wizarding world is attempting a “heated rivalry.”
This week on SNL, host Finn Wolfhard appeared as Harry Potter in a sketch mocking HBO’s new series based on the fantasy novel. However, in this version, thanks to “a hasty rewrite after the success of other HBO shows,” Harry quickly becomes infatuated with Ron (Ben Marshall) and the show is renamed “Hot Wizardry.” It is also said to be “the first series written entirely by girls with tails.”
Of course, the wand and broom puns and innuendos are quick to arrive, as in “The only thing hotter than hockey is Quidditch.” After we see a cute encounter between Harry and Ron, Harry is seen jumping away from Ron without any bottoms on the Quidditch pitch, and more sexy Hogwarts shenanigans take place.
In this segment, James Austin Johnson plays Severus Snape, Jason Momoa plays Hagrid, Ashley Padilla plays Professor McGonagall, and Kenan Thompson plays Alastor Moody.
